Where do you get your energy from?
If I had a pound for every time I hear this, I’d be able to retire.
Ask yourself this. How are you feeling now, on a scale of 1 to 10? Now ask yourself, how this energy level is related to what you’re doing, where you are, how your sitting etc.
If 1 is just getting out of bed in the morning and 10 is you’ve just won £1000 on a horse race?
Where are you?
A lot of our perceived energy is not made through what we eat or drink, it’s situational. It’s how we’re sat or stood. It’s our movement levels. It’s our mind-set.
Sometimes the situation rules the mind-set. It’s all well and good to say winning £1000 on a horse race makes you a 10, but when does that happen?
I challenge you to do this now, pretend you’ve just won that race, smile, move, reach your arms out wide in victory. And I bet you feel like that energy number just shifted upwards a couple of notches. Am I right?
(I know I am!)
Notice how the word motivation is derived from the word to move. Obviously it’s root meaning is the desire to move, but movement creates its own motivation.
Where the mind moves the body will follow…..
But where the body moves, the mind follows too.
