Why train together?

Group personal training

Personal Training can be just as effective when doing it with a friend or partner.

In fact, there are many advantages to training together.

It is well established that having an exercise appointment with a personal trainer will make sure you get to the gym. So if you're lacking motivation to simply turn up, booking a PT is one way to get past that.

But booking an appointment with a friend is a sure-fire way to increase your motivation even more. This is especially true when your motivation starts to wane. Your training partner will be there to pull you up and get you motivated, and you'll do the same for them, when the time comes.

Team training can be fun too. Workouts can be designed to keep you going, and instead of waiting for it to be over, you'll be forming memories to keep. And you won't be able to help yourself. A slight competitive streak will undoubtedly show itself and you'll find yourself pushing  harder than you thought possible.

There are a few draw backs from group training. One being that the training is less personal. There is less one to one coaching time as that time is split between two people, but often these drawbacks are far outweighed by the positives, especially if you main barrier to exercise is motivation.
